I’m an American journalist in Bangkok, where I report on military and defense news from across the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on US and Chinese military operations and broader competition.

Before moving to Thailand in 2024, I was an editor covering those topics at Business Insider in Washington DC, where I commissioned, edited and published 750 freelance stories over three and a half years and reported on US defense issues and international security from the Pentagon and Capitol Hill (and from my kitchen).
